Description:
Regardless of agency size, the occupancy and eligibility functions of your agency are critical to maintaining the financial and market viability of your agency’s assets. This training focuses on ensuring both accuracy and compliance in the occupancy, eligibility, and rent calculations functions.
During this course, you’ll learn everything you need to know to:

Ensure fair and compliant unit assignment

Effectively interview applicants and residents

Accurately determine occupancy

Verify and calculate income and expenses to determine eligibility

Accurately calculate tenant rent
Successful completion of this training satisfies one of the requirements for staff seeking to complete either the Specialist of Occupancy-Public Housing or the Specialist of Eligibility and Calculation Certifications. If you are interested in certification, select Training AND Certification Exam at the time of registration. Please note, Ethics is not included in this training and will need to purchased separately.

Determine and verify income and expenses to ensure the accurate calculation of Tenant Rent (TR), Avoid common errors in the occupancy and eligibility functions.

Employees working with Public Housing waiting lists, determining applicant or resident eligibility and/or calculating rent

Property/Asset managers

Supervisors and managers of employees responsible for managing property assets, managing wait lists and applications, and performing certification and recertification tasks.
